House for a potter

 

This is a residential house refurbish project located in Naoshima, Japan for a London-based potter. The house is in a traditional Japanese wooden structure once owned by a family used as a short-term rent house. The proposal aiming to combine the lifestyles from different regions. The proposed house contains a two-story tea room, an open corridor that links to the garden, a pottery studio, storage shelves for pottery display, a loft bedroom, dining space, and bathroom.
